Update Conversion Statuses

Update conversion statuses individually or in bulk

Written by GoKart Support

Conversion statuses are determined by a combination of postback validation and the offer’s configuration settings. However, admins can manually override these statuses at any time through Conversion Management or via bulk CSV/XLS imports.

This is useful when you need to adjust conversions due to discrepancies, delayed approvals, partner validations, fraud reviews, or reconciliation processes.

Updating Statuses Manually

Admins can update a single conversion directly within Conversion Management, modifying its status to Pending, Success, or Rejected.

Updating Statuses in Bulk

For a step-by-step guide, refer to the detailed instructions here.

Import File Specifications

  • Supported File Formats

    • CSV (.csv)

    • Excel (.xls, .xlsx)

  • Maximum File Size

    • Import files (e.g., spreadsheets) are supported up to 100 MB.

Bulk Uploads to Multi-Event Offers

For multi-event offers, you have two options when uploading a CSV or XLS file to update conversion statuses:

  1. Update a specific conversion event:

    1. Add an EventId column in your file.

    2. The EventId refers to the unique Conversion Event ID and can be found under the ID field in the exported conversion report

  2. Update all events associated with a click:

    1. If you only include a gk_click_id in your file (and omit EventId), the status update will be applied to all conversion events associated to that gk_click_id.

Status Update Examples

  1. Rejected → Success

Used when a partner confirms a conversion is valid, or your team resolves an incorrect rejection.

  2. Success → Rejected

    Used when:

    • Fraud is discovered after rewarding

    • An advertiser disputes or denies approval

    • You need to revoke a reward for invoicing or payout alignment

  3. Pending → Success / Rejected

Used when offers are set to manual rewarding, and an admin made the final determination

Important Notes

  • GoKart does not issue or revoke user rewards. Any awarding or clawbacks must be handled internally by your system once statuses are updated.

  • Manual updates made by your team override the original state, regardless of how the conversion was initially tracked.

  • If Pending and Rejected callbacks are enabled, GoKart will send a callback for each status update.
